Description
The Sarasota Storm Triathlon Club is a USAT official club, established in 2005 as the Sarasota Sharks Tri Club by a group of triathlon-loving friends who wanted to inspire other local athletes to join the multisport world. We're open to current, former, and aspiring triathletes of all levels and abilities. Maybe you're thinking about doing your first triathlon and want to meet some experienced people to help you get there safely and to have fun. Maybe you have a few races under your belt but want to swim, bike, and run with someone just a little bit faster. Maybe you've done multiple Ironmans and want to help the next generation of triathletes fall in love with our favorite sport. We are about mentoring new athletes, friendship, encouragement, supporting each other and creative training opportunities. The Storm is the place for you!
Are you visiting form out of town, perhaps on an extended vacation or business trip, or here seasonally to escape the winter up North? You are welcome to train with us! Check out our club calendar, and our local training resources where you can find pools, open water swimming opportunities, and popular cycling areas. Feel free to contact us and we will do our best to answer your questions about training in the Sarasota - Venice - Bradenton area!

- Race Discounts: We work with many local and regional races to get our members some awesome savings. Lower fees = more racing! See the discounts page for more information.
- Mentorship: Our membership ranges from novice to national champion caliber athletes. Even if you can't swim or are new to cycling, you are welcome with us! We do this sport for FUN, and our members enjoy helping each other be successful. We can match you up with a mentor, or if you wish there are coaches available who are also club members.
- Member Meetings & Socials: Our meetings, typically held on the 4th Wednesday or Thursday of every month, currently via Zoom, are a great way to "meet" club members. We also have informal social gatherings every quarter.
- Bike Box Use: Need to ship your bike to a race or cycling vacation? The Storm has a couple of bike boxes that are free for members to use.
- Annual Party: Ditch the spandex and join your fellow triathletes in a night of revelry. Great food, great friends, and our award ceremony for the past year's achievements!
- Team Spirit: From finding a workout buddy to making lifetime friends, the Storm has something for everyone. We cheer each other on at races and support each other in achieving our fitness goals. Look for us in our gear at your next race!
