The Virginia Capital Trail Foundation (VCTF) is a nonprofit, 501 (c)(3) organization, with a mission to enhance, promote, and advocate for the continued development of the Virginia Capital Trail (VCT), a 52-mile dedicated multi-use trail connecting Richmond and Williamsburg along the beautiful and historic Route 5 corridor. The VCT serves as official course for the Sports Backers Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5k. The VCTF depends on private donations to succeed. At Sports Backers as we work to inspire an active community, the Virginia Capital Trail provides amazing opportunities for active recreation, active transportation and economic development in our Region and we are thrilled to partner with them on Sports Backers Marathon.
