Seeking to put God’s love into action, Charleston Habitat for Humanity (CHFH) brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. By facilitating homeownership, families can break the cycle of poverty, which goes a long way to building a better future for multiple generations.

CHFH assists Lowcountry families through the construction of new homes and critical home repairs of their current homes. Through our Homeownership Program, CHFH works as a mortgage company providing no-interest mortgages for 30 years to low-income families. The Critical Home Repair Program helps low-income homeowners address critical needs in their homes by making needed repairs so they can live in a safe and healthy home.

Over the last 32 years we have built 93 new affordable homes, completed 23 home repairs, and supported 48 homes in Honduras - improving over 600 lives through home ownership!
