LET'S HIT THE TRAILS AND SAVE SOME TAILS!
Sacramento Shelter Pets Alive (SSPA) is a nonprofit that serves as a safety net and support system for shelter dogs with a focus on the most vulnerable. SSPA is a group of staff and volunteers who provide innovative, comprehensive behavioral and rehabilitative programs, foster care and rescue support, and adoption retention that have proved to sustain a high live outcome. SSPA approaches every dog as an individual, with the understanding that physical appearance does not determine behavior.
SSPA is planning on breaking ground on a new permanent facility in the Natomas area of Sacramento. The goal is to start onsite weekend adoptions with an eventual goal of long-term housing of shelter dogs. The future is bright!
The past two years have severely restricted SSPA's ability to raise money which they urgently need to continue working on their goal to house dogs at the new facility. To make their vision a reality, they have a critical need for kennels, cleaning supplies, cot-style beds, dog food, blankets/towels, leashes/collars, enrichment items, safety equipment, agility equipment, and other items needed to successfully run a new facility. By operating a new facility, more dogs in the Sacramento region can be housed until they find a permanent home than under current conditions.
Please support me as I run or walk my way to raise money for SSPA during the upcoming virtual race. Your help is needed!
