Our sweet Isabella was born with a rare genetic disorder, Kabuki Syndrome. She had complications in utero, and immediately following her birth she was rushed into open heart surgery. She spent the first 6 months of her life in the PICU. Once discharged … she missed her nurses so much she decided to have a regular PICU admission almost monthly. 😭 She continues to have weekly appointments with almost every department in the hospital. Due to the ongoing extensive care she requires it has taken a huge toll on our family and changed the dynamic drastically. Casey cares supports families like ours in such a meaningful way. Our favorite was the movie night Casey Cares provides for us, they gave the kids pajamas. Casey Cares has helped us find ways to cope and connect outside of the hospital. None of this would be possible without donors like yourself, even the smallest amount counts.
