OUR MISSION
Providing support to past, present and future members of the Lakeland Police Department.
The Lakeland Police Foundation, Inc. (“Foundation”), is a Florida not for profit corporation and a §50l(c)(3) Corporation under the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation was incorporated in 2012. It is not part of the City of Lakeland or the Lakeland Police Department (LPD).
The Foundation's mission is to support members of the Lakeland Police Department and their families. Support has included building and maintaining the Fallen Heroes Memorial, providing critical care support for retired LPD canines (K-9’s), educational grants for members and childrens, hardship grants arising from deaths, serious injuries, illnesses, and other personal crises, member/retiree appreciation events and supporting the Lakeland Police Explorer Program. The foundation supports these various programs through the generous donations from citizens, businesses, as well as conducting fundraising events.
The members of the Board of Directors and its officers are all uncompensated volunteers.
