All aboard! The Salladay Express is rolling out, and we've got one mission: walk (not run - let's not get carried away) in honor of our conductor and inspiration, Bob Salladay.
Bob was recently diagnosed with double hit lymphoma, an aggressive and rare subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, that has left him unable to walk. Bob's lymphoma is presumed to be caused by exposure to dangerous toxins and burn pits while serving in Afghanistan and Kuwait. So we're rallying our crew and hitting the tracks to raise funds and awareness, and while we may not be the fastest train on the track, we've got heart, humor, and a conductor worth fighting for.
Born from the tragedy of 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries forward a legacy of courage and heroism. Built upon the mantra, “While we have time, LET US DO GOOD,” the Foundation supports our nation’s fallen and catastrophically injured first responders, military heroes and their families.
