STORY
Ruff Life Pet Hotel is a creation inspired by the love of our dogs, Bailey and Lucy, who are now in puppy heaven.
Bailey was a Lhasa Apso and Shih Tzu mix who was a Christmas present from my parents. She was an amazing cuddler, protector, and made me smile every day. She was loved for 15 years, 9 months, and 19 days.
Lucy was a Brittany Spaniel that my husband saved from a life of being tied to a pole in South Dakota. She went everywhere with him and was an excellent companion. She was loved for 12 years, 3 months, and 5 days.
In their absence, we realized our home was not the same... my husband had a vision - a "home away from home" for pets. And so began our new journey to build Ruff Life Pet Hotel, as well as add a new member to our family, Olive who is a Shih Tzu and King Charles Cavalier mix. She is the perfect combination of Bailey and Lucy.
In 2021, we thought Olive would like a sister so along came Eleanor (Ellie) who is the same breed as Olive, Cavatzu, but came from different parents. The two are inseparable and spend all day playing together.
