Let's Take It Over the Line!

The Elkins-Randolph County Public Library was severely damaged by multiple roof leaks several years ago. The Library Board is moving forward with plans to renovate and expand the building. The Library was awarded $2.2 million in Federal funds and $1 million in State matching funds for this project. Our estimates right now are that the total project will cost between $4.5-$4.8 million. The Library Board is seeking a Federal loan to cover the difference between our awarded money and the cost of the project. The Board is setting up an endowment to help with debt servicing and provide operational costs for the Library.

We are now in the home stretch to take this project over the finish line! Funds raised will go to the endowment.
