We walk/run in honor of Sean Gallagher who was diagnosed with angiosarcoma in October, 2018 and lost his battle shortly after on February 20, 2019. Sarcomas are estimated to be about 1% of all cancers and angiosarcomas make up about 1-2% of sarcomas. Angiosarcomas are mostly diagnosed after the disease has spread throughout the body often leading to a poor prognosis. Because of the rarity of this cancer and the challenge in diagnosing it, we are committed to helping to raise funds to support ongoing sarcoma research. This year’s event will in-person as well as virtual, which makes it even easier for you to help! Just purchase a shirt and wear it on June 20th. Whether you walk, run, or sit on your porch with a cocktail, you can rest assured that you’ve made a difference!
