Dear Friends and Family,
It has been a long time since I connected with you about Friendship Circle. Our Paige is turning 18 years old. She still attends the Sunday programming, winter camp and some special events. And this year, her sister Hailey has become a volunteer.
The Jewish world is under tremendous pressure, stepping up its financial support of Israel and fighting against anti-semitism. Our commitments are stretched, who and what needs us more.
But we can't forget our young special needs people who always face enormous challenges. Their world is smaller. Most don't even understand the ongoing tragedy of death and destruction. They only know their "friends " who come to visit at their homes, their friends who spend a couple of hours with them on Sunday at Children's Circle, the adults who take them bowling. Perhaps our special needs people are luckiest because they don't see the evil out there, only the goodness of their “friends.”
So I am asking, once again, to be generous supporters of FC, an organization of caring, compassionate teens and adults who truly bring happiness with them.
You can donate to FC online through my “Team Paige” by clicking here: friendshipdayct.com/susanmark
or send your check to The Friendship Circle, 48 Union St. #25, Stamford CT 06906.
The Walk will take place May 19, at Westhill High School in Stamford if you would like to join.
Thanks so much,
Susan
