As I get ready for the 39th Annual Ben to the Shore, which supports the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation, I humbly thank you for your support of this most important cause, even a small donation makes a difference.

Like last year, I'm a little apprehensive this year due to the fact that I have not trained as much as I should have and, I'm just getting older, and my regular support co-riders are not riding this year. Also, it's North Catholic weekend in Wildwood and that adds another challenge to getting up even earlier and driving back to the city, jumping on a bike and heading back to the shore, but I will make it!

Team Philly Fire was started by a few of us when I was working at Peach Bottom Nuclear Power Station, and the team has grown into a top ten team.

There are so many families that are helped every year and the Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation is there when these families are in need, thank you once more for your support, I'll post some pictures after we finish.

The Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation (FBBCF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to improving the lives of children in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area. We achieve this by providing necessary financial relief for the families of fallen or critically injured first responders (police officers, firefighters, EMTs); cultivating positive relationships and interactions between police officers and the children in the communities they serve; and providing mental and emotional wellbeing resources to first responders and their families.
