Camp for All Kids (CFAK) creates pathways to the transformational experience of sleepaway camp for Black and Brown youth while fostering inclusive and equitable camp communities. We envision a world in which all young people are aware of and have sustained access to the transformative and nurturing environment of summer camp, and where sleepaway camps serve as welcoming, safe places for all kids.
Kids need camp now more than ever. They’re growing up in an increasingly busy and tech-heavy world, and many are navigating challenging circumstances in their communities. Through our programs, the camp experience provides space to breathe, safe time outdoors and the opportunity to build friendships face-to-face. By being part of the camp community, our campers are seen for who they are, and not for who the world expects them to be.
Camp for All Kids serves our mission through two programs: The Campership Program and Four Star Fellowship. The Campership Program provides renewable experiences for youth in grades 3-12 from Milwaukee, Chicago, St. Louis and Cleveland to attend four and eight week overnight camp sessions at seven ACA accredited partner camps in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. Four Star Fellowship is a week-long summer program for Chicago teens and their year-round youth development mentors across three partner camps in northern Wisconsin.
Four Star Fellowship is offered in partnership with Chicago-based youth serving organizations (several of our partners are ALSO participating in the RAGV!)
