About the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester:

Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester (BGCD) is dedicated to making a positive impact on youth and families in our community. Inside our three Clubhouses, we are a place for Dorchester’s young people to learn, explore talents, play and make friends. Today, as always, our members have access to 200+ activities for just $5 a year. Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester serves over 4,000 children between the ages of two months and 18 years each year. During the school year, we serve approximately 250 meals every weekday.

Our mission is to always welcome and connect young people and families to opportunities that embrace diversity, nurture growth, and inspire success.

This year, we're proud to participate in the Flutie 5K for Autism to raise critical funds that help create opportunities for young people of all abilities to learn, grow, compete, and belong.

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester, inclusion isn't a program—it's a commitment. Every day, we work to ensure that children and teens with diverse abilities have access to the same opportunities for friendship, recreation, skill-building, and community as their peers.

One of the most powerful examples of this commitment is our Challenger Sports League. The league provides athletes with varying abilities the opportunity to participate in organized sports in an environment built around encouragement, teamwork, confidence, and fun. For many participants, Challenger Sports is about much more than the game. It's about building friendships, developing independence, celebrating achievements, and experiencing the joy of being part of a team.

Your support helps make these experiences possible. Donations help provide adaptive equipment, accessible programming, and year-round opportunities for athletes and their families to connect and thrive.

Every dollar raised through our Flutie 5K team helps strengthen inclusive programming and expand opportunities for young people who deserve every chance to participate, belong, and succeed.
