We are experiencing an unprecedented flood emergency, projected to exceed historical records. The Skagit Community Foundation has activated the Skagit Disaster Relief Fund to support the urgent and emerging needs of our community. Though we hope for the best, SCF has prepared for times like these. Knowing that disasters in Skagit County are a matter of when, not if, SCF has stewarded this fund so resources are ready for rapid, coordinated support.
SCF is in communication with partners across Skagit County and the region to better understand the landscape of needs, anticipated damage, and how government, nonprofit, and not-for-profit partners will mobilize support. As assessments come in, we will direct philanthropic dollars where they can be most effective.
