Support the Border to Border Trail – Every Dollar Doubled through Race Day!

Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative (HWPI) is a 501c3 organization dedicated to expanding and enhancing the Border to Border (B2B) Trail, a premier non-motorized pathway connecting communities and providing accessible outdoor recreation across Washtenaw County. Our mission is to facilitate the development of non-motorized recreational pathways and to help link Michigan’s growing network of trails. By supporting HWPI, you’re investing in a more connected, active, and vibrant trail community.

This year, we are raising funds to complete the final B2B Trail connection into downtown Dexter by funding the Mill Creek crossing and the installation of the historic Bell Road Bridge. This critical segment will link Dexter to the wider trail network, making it easier for runners, walkers, and cyclists to enjoy safe, scenic routes. The effort to complete this exciting B2B Trail connection into Dexter has been years in the making, made possible through a public-private partnership between the Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission and the Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative.

Help us cross the finish line!

Your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $250,000 though June 1, doubling the impact of your generosity. Help us complete this long-awaited connection and bring even more incredible running and recreational opportunities to the community!
