In an effort to improve diversity in trail racing and remove a potential barrier for the under-served and under-represented, Go Beyond Racing established the Trail Mix Fund™ in 2021. This Fund pays the race registration fee for runners who cannot afford it or aren’t sure they belong in the sport. The response to the Trail Mix Fund was so positive that it was converted to a 501(3) c not-for-profit organization and is now helping more runners get to the starting line at trail races around the country.
If you are facing a financial hardship that that makes affording a race registration fee impossible, apply to the Trail Mix Fund. If you are a BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ runner who isn't sure you belong or are welcome at a trail race, regardless of your financial position, apply. We'll let you know if you application is approved within a week, and if so, your race registration fee is paid for by the Trail Mix Fund. You can see a list of participating races on our website.
If you believe in what we're trying to do with the Trail Mix Fund, please consider donating. You can do this through our website, or add-on to the registration fee of the participating race you are signing up for.
