Music is vital to human existence, possessing the power to uplift and unite us—helping us to celebrate and to mourn, energize and explain, connect and express.
Rackham Choir has been the heart of choral music in Detroit for over 70 years. With innovative repertoire, artistic excellence, enduring history, and deep community involvement, this premier performing arts group is a vital part of the region’s rich cultural landscape.
As a not-for-profit arts organization, we rely on donations to operate. In the best of times, ticket sales represent only a very small portion of our operating budget. During the pandemic, that revenue stream has stopped completely: but our music-making has not. Your support will help us continue to rehearse and provide on-line performances, as well as help to fund the Rackham Choir High School Vocal Internship Program and various other community outreach programs.
