This September, Team Cal’s Capers will be lacing up our running shoes and taking on a 5K to support childhood leukemia and blood disorder research.
Our family has been personally impacted by childhood cancer and watching the strength, resilience, and courage in the face of challenges no child should have to endure has inspired us to do something meaningful in return.
Throughout this journey, we've witnessed firsthand the incredible impact that compassionate medical care, groundbreaking research, and unwavering support can have on children and families. We've also seen how small the world can be, with friends from various walks of life helping care for children and families at Seattle Children's every day.
Together, our team has set a goal of raising $5,000 by September 20 to support the doctors, nurses, researchers, and staff who work tirelessly to give children facing cancer more hope, more treatment options, and more healthy tomorrows.
We'll handle the running. (All 3.1 miles of it.) We're asking you to help with the easier part.
Whether you donate $10, $25, $100, or simply share our fundraiser, every contribution helps make a difference. Every dollar moves us closer to better treatments, better outcomes, and a future where fewer families hear the words, "Your child has cancer."
Thank you for supporting our team, this mission, and the children and families who need it most.
Together, let's turn a few miles into something much bigger than a race.
