Over the past seventeen years, the Autism Society Central Virginia 5K has grown from a small venture to a large annual event that attracts over 1,200 participants. This family-friendly event will feature entertainment, food, exhibitors and a Kids’ Fun Zone. The day’s activities include a competitive, timed 5K and awards ceremony, a Kids’ Fun Run, and Resource Fair. The Resource Fair will present dozens of organizations, including autism service providers and local businesses. The event concludes with our Awards Ceremony, where we will recognize top teams and fundraisers. All funds raised from this event provide much needed support for individuals with autism and their families in Central Virginia. The funds raised here, stay here!

Because the ASCV depends on this important fundraiser to support our local autism community, it is not our policy to issue refunds to participants who are unable to attend or the event has to be cancelled.

The Richmond Road Runners Club is providing timing services for the 2020 ASCV 5K. Chip timing, available to purchase online as an add-on during or after registration for $5, is able to precisely measure your race results by registering your race chip (attached to your race bib) as you run across timing mats located at the start/finish line of the race. If you do not choose chip-timing, you will be able to see your race time on the clock at the finish line, but that time will not be recorded or eligible for Top 5K Finisher awards.
Your results will be posted on your RunSignUp profile, and you can search on the race website by bib number.
Yes, awards will be presented after the race to our top finishers in a variety of age and gender categories. Check out the Awards page here to see what you could win.
