Step 1: Tell Your Story Your passion and enthusiasm are contagious! Personalize your fundraising page by setting a fundraising goal, uploading a photo and sharing your story about why you're participating.
Step 2: Lead by Example Get the ball rolling! Make a personal gift to your fundraising page today. People are more inspired to give and support your efforts when they see you donating too.
Step 3: Recruit Team Members Invite friends, family members, and colleagues to participate on your team with you. Each team member can create their own fundraising page that all link up to your team page and goal. Create healthy competition and see which team member can raise the most! Plan a fundraising event as a team, such as a yard sale, dine-to-donate night, or bake sale at your office. Share a flier with your team to distribute while they are out and about. Step 4: Reach Out for Support Share your your fundraising page link to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media networks. Write an email or letter, and send it out to your network. See examples from other fundraisers here. Add a link to your fundraising page in your email signature. Remind everyone how their donation isn't only tax deductible, it will help families right here in the community too!
Step 5: Share Your Success Keep track of your donations and give frequent updates to your team members, friends and family to share progress toward your goal. It may encourage those who have not donated yet, but also allow your donors to see how their contribution has impacted your overall progress.
