The "Bolt" Loyalty Award
All participants who register for four years in a row, (2023 - 2026) will receive "The Bolt” (pictured below) representing running on Kern County Energy, after they cross the Finish Line in 2026.
Those who participated in 2023 & 2024 will be 75% there when they sign up for the 2025 race of their choice.
Bakersfield Marathon Legacy Club Continues in 2025!
A free program for participants who run an event with us every year, the Legacy Club will continue to gain more benefits and exclusivity with each passing year. If you ran in our inaugural 2016 race and became a Legacy Club Member in 2017, and have run with us every year since — then don’t miss out on continuing to be a part of this elite club! Run with us in 2025 and continue your legacy! Scroll to the bottom to see the latest perk our legacy runners will receive.
Once again, in 2025, you can opt to register for our 2025 Virtual Race to keep your Legacy Club status. This is a great way to keep your Legacy Club status intact if you have a conflict on race day. Please note, legacy runners who sign up but then give their bib to someone else, will be disqualified as Legacy Runners going forward.
All Legacy Club members who continued in 2024 (unless they signed up in the final week before the event) were listed on the banner below at the event.

The grand reveal of the 2025 Legacy Club Gift is still pending.
In 2024, club members were given a multitude of privileges, including additional beer and food tickets, commemorative bib, an exclusive queue at the Expo, a lounge space with couches and an extension of the discounted early registration for the upcoming year.
As a delightful bonus, each member was presented with the cup showcased in the image below.
