WORLD ATHLETE ACADEMY
Promoting fitness and life-long recreation through the sport of track and field

Track and field is the sport that keeps children running, jumping and throwing. Participation in track and field activities improves youth character development in many ways. It raises self esteem, encourages personal responsibility, promotes individual fitness and stresses lifelong recreational activity involvement. Using the sport of track and field as its foundation, World Athlete Academy helps children develop lifelong habits of health. education and physical fitness.

By improving childhood fitness, track and field athletes are at reduced risk of obesity due to inactivity. All children should be able to participate in organized track and field activities; however, not all can afford to.

Last year, World Athlete provided free programs and services to children in the South Jersey region. These children received full or partial participation scholarships to spring, fall afterschool and summer programs. Even as the economy rebounds, more parents contact World Athlete about free or reduced fees each year.

Though the generosity of individuals and organizations such as Moorestown Family Fun Day and the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), children have been able to participate in World Athlete activities. More help is needed.

You can help by making a donation to the World Athlete Academy - a New Jersey non-profit, charitable education organization and the charitable arm of World Athlete Track Academy.

Use of Donations

Provides full/partial scholarships to children and their families that are unable to afford track and field program participation fees.

Assist the development of programs for children at risk of childhood obesity

Assist the continued support of afterschool track and fitness programs at local schools and community organizations

$299 will send a child to summer track camp
$199 will send a child to an indoor track program
$120 will enter a 10-member youth team in a track meet
