For over four decades, Alpha Omega Foundation, Incorporated has served the Greater Cleveland community and look forward to providing quality resources, service, and support to the Cleveland area for decades to come. Alpha Omega Foundation, Incorporated is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents in the greater Cleveland community. The Amazing AKA 5k Walk Run Race is a family, fun and health happy event open to the public and multi-generational. Net proceeds will benefit the Minority Organ & Tissue Transplant Education Program (MOTTEP) which is part of the Centers for Dialysis Care which we all know of at least one person who is in need of a donor or was a recipient. Cleveland MOTTEP exists to specifically educate the Greater Cleveland minority community about the need for organ, eye and tissue donations. Minorities are disproportionately affected by hypertension and diabetes – the leading causes of kidney failure. Therefore, Cleveland MOTTEP simultaneously educates communities about the diseases and behaviors that lead to the need for transplantation. Our hope is that you will be encouraged to partner with Alpha Omega Foundation, Incorporated in the mission to race with us, donate or be inspired to be a contributor to this great and impactful initiative.
