There Is Good News!
There will be a Shark’s Tooth 10K. Our “challenge” has been to be able to bring the race to you for the 12th consecutive year.
With circumstances as they are, there will not be a Shark Fin 5K or a Megalodon Challenge this year. The iconic Shark's Tooth 10K will be professionally chip-timed with custom bibs and locally printed custom race shirts. One of the favorite races for locals and visitors alike, we will endeavor to make the 2021 Shark’s Tooth 10K the best that it can be!

Very pretty loop course on asphalt paths with a few bollards and a bridge span less than 100’ of wooden planks that you’ll encounter twice. We think you’ll like it, start on the Solar Trail then two loops of the Hammock Loop Trail with a lot of canopy cover.

If you test positive or develop symptoms of COVID-19 or otherwise become ill within 14 days of the event, we request that you not come to the Shark's Tooth 10K. Please notify us before the event and we will work with you to transfer your registration to someone outside your household or change your registration to the Virtual Shark's Tooth 10K.
Temperature checks will be conducted as you arrive on-site and if yours exceeds 100.4 you will be asked to leave and automatically transferred to the Virtual Shark's Tooth 10K so you can submit your own virtual race results.
Please do not bring guests or spectators to the race area. We normally welcome everyone but this time everyone in your party should be a registered participant. On-site registration will not be available.
You will not need to wear a mask during your run; however, you will need to wear a mask or face shield to pick up your race packet and at other times at Bayside Community Church, to and from Rothenbach Park and around the venue when not able to appropriately distance from those outside of your household.
Post-race refreshments will be available at Rothenbach Park.
The Shark's Tooth 10K is chip-timed by Durti Timing and participants will receive their own net/chip time to their phone or email as selected during registration. To help with proper distancing and avoid crowding, no printed results will be posted on-site and there will not be the traditional awards. Afterwards results will be emailed and posted on RunSignUp.
We are taking precautions that will include ensuring soap is available in the restrooms, hand-sanitizer in the race area, volunteers wearing face coverings and gloves (as appropriate) and frequently touched surfaces will be wiped with disinfectant wipes during the event.
A reminder of the CDC guidelines for your own safety:
Stay home when you are sick
Wear a mask when social distancing is difficult
Cover your cough or sneeze
Wash your hands often with soap and water
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth with unwashed hands
We look forward to being able to see our running friends once again and hope you’ll join us!
