2nd Annual Thunderhill Showdown 5K Run/Walk

July 12, 2026 – Lapwai, Idaho  

Suicide Prevention • Community Strength • Healing Together

The Thunderhill Showdown returns for its second year, bringing our community together for a day of movement, remembrance, and hope. This 5K run/walk begins at the Lapwai Football Field, climbs to the top of Thunderhill, and brings us back home again — a route that mirrors the uphill battles we face and the strength we find in one another.

We gather at 0800 to connect, support, and honor those we’ve lost. The run starts at 0900, carrying us up Thunderhill with purpose and bringing us back down with renewed strength and unity.

A big part of why I do this is my little sister, Raquel. Losing her changed my life forever. It opened my eyes to how deeply suicide impacts our families, our youth, and our community. This event is my way of keeping her memory alive while fighting for the people who are still here. Every step we take is for her, for those we’ve lost, and for those who need to know they matter. Raquel’s spirit, her love, and the space she left behind are what drive me to create a place where people feel supported, seen, and never alone.

Entry Fee: $35  

Your registration helps support suicide prevention efforts, community healing, and resources for those who need them most.
