Join us for the Gobble Wobble 5K on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20! We're shaking things up this year and hosting our Thanksgiving race a week early. It will be an IN-PERSON 5K race with the option to run with a chip-timed bib or an untimed bib. You can make your selection during the registration process. It will be $25 to register as chip-timed and free if you choose untimed. ONLY CHIP-TIMED PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A T-SHIRT.
 
One thing that remains the same: ALL donations go directly to our local Food Finders Food Bank. We ask that you donate food or make a monetary donation to Food Finders if you are able

 

The event is limited to 500 participants. T-shirts are given to chip-timed participants ONLY. Register by November 4 to guarantee your shirt size. If you register for a chip-timed bib after this date, you will not be able to select your preferred shirt size, however you will still receive a shirt.

 

THE DETAILS:

  • Date: Sunday, November 20, 2022
  • Race Start Time: 1:30 PM
  • Location: Cumberland Park, West Lafayette (south shelter)
  • Registration is available ONLINE ONLY 
  • All participants are REQUIRED to register and sign the waiver online in order to run
  • CHIP-TIME registration will CLOSE on Thursday, November 17 at midnight. UNTIMED registration will remain open until Sunday, November 20 and will close at 1:00 PM. THERE WILL BE NO IN-PERSON REGISTRATION.
  • Franklin Finish will be timing the race, so all participants have the option to choose between a chip-timed bib or untimed bib during the registration process

DONATIONS:

  • Food or monetary donations can be dropped off at Fleet Feet West Lafayette during business hours beginning Monday, November 14 through Saturday, November 19
  • Food and monetary donations will also be collected at the event on Sunday, November 20
  • Monetary donations can be made in the form of CASH or CHECK - all checks must be made out to Food Finders Food Bank
  • Here is a list of high-demand items needed: 
    • 100% fruit juices
    • Baking items
    • Beans
    • Boxed rice and potatoes
    • Canned fish and meats
    • Canned fruits and vegetables
    • Cereal
    • Meals in a can/box
    • Peanut Butter
    • Canned soups and stews
    • *Food Finders also accepts toiletries, cleaning products, and pet food
  • Food they cannot accept: no open cans, bags, containers, bottles, etc. of food. All donated food must be in its original form. No homemade food. No baby food in glass containers.

BIB PICKUP:

  • Saturday, November 19 at Fleet Feet in West Lafayette
  • Pick-up your bib(s) anytime on Saturday from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (recommended)
  • Although we encourage picking your bib up on Saturday, you can also get it on Sunday before the race if absolutely necessary
