Easton Police Chase 5K Race canceled until 2021

New Date: TBD 2021

Dear Race Participants,

After careful consideration and in order to adhere to the CDC’s guidelines to limit gatherings of over 50 people, the Easton Police Chase 5K for DARE, scheduled for April 25, 2020, has been cancelled.

We did not make this decision lightly. This was a very difficult decision and we know the cancellation is disappointing news for many, but the health and safety of our runners, volunteers, Police, spectators and staff are top priorities for the Easton Police Chase Race Directors.

We are offering two options for those runners affected by the cancellation. We will be changing the race date to a similar date in April of 2021. You may choose to use this year’s entry for that event. The other option is to generously donate your race fees to the DARE program run by officer Tibbals. There is no refund option as the race was non-refundable at sign-up.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We too, are extremely disappointed. Please look forward to racing with us next year!

Your race Directors,

Tara Candee and Detective Kent Lyman

Here Are Your Options:

We will transfer your registration to the new event date once it is set, and look forward to having you join us. Thanks for your patience!

You understand that events are expensive, even when cancelled, and you want us to keep your registration fees to help cover our costs. We deeply appreciate your generosity and look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

Description

A Certified 5K road race to benefit the Town of Easton Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which is run and maintained solely on donations. The wonderful students of Easton benefit greatly from sponsorship proceeds raised trough this 5K race. The first mile of the race is gentle rolling hills, that are mostly downhill. You then transition to an upward slope that eventually goes back down at the end of mile 2. Mile 3 brings you to "The Punisher" hill, and then a flat, fast finish.

New this year, a KIDS fun run! Leave your kids with us while you run the 5K. All kids that complete the mile will get a finisher medal.

*NEW* Long sleeve technical shirts.
