Together with our Official Orthopedic Partner, Coastal Orthopedics, the Bradenton Runners Club presents the 29th Annual Turkey Trot 3 Mile Fun Run and Walk, which will be held at 8:00 A.M. Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26th, 2026, at Robinson Preserve (south entrance), 10299 99th St NW, Bradenton, FL 34209
Proceeds from this event support our local charities and our BRC Scholarship Fund. Your generosity and years of support are greatly appreciated. While our costs to put on this event have increased, we are still able to charge a nominal age-based registration fee.

Join us on Thursday, November 26, 2026 at 8;00 A.M. for this exciting 3-mile fun run and walk, taking place at beautiful Robinson Preserve in Bradenton FL. This event is perfect for the whole family, with scenic views and a well-maintained course for participants!
Custom race shirts will be available for purchase when you register online. Proceeds from the sale of race shirts and any additional donations benefit our sponsored charities. Shirts and bibs are available for pickup at early check-in on Tuesday, November 24th, or Wednesday, the 25th, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Fit2Run The Runners Superstore, 4951Cortez Rd. West, Bradenton FL. Shirts and bibs can also be picked up on Thanksgiving at Check-in, beginning at 7:00 A.M.
Kids Run Too!Get your kids involved and join us at 7:30 A.M. for this year's BRC Kids Turkey Trot Fun Run presented by our Official Orthopedic Partner, Coastal Orthopedics, and the Bradenton Runners Club. Kids will get excited about fitness when they lace up their shoes and enjoy this 1/3 mile run, which is open to children ages 5-10 of all fitness levels. Whether they sprint or jog their way from start to finish, each child participates in a confidence-building event that enhances their general health, while they experience the thrill of crossing the finish line. PLEASE NOTE: All registrations for minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult registration and require a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Wish you could join us? What if you want to participate in our charity fun run, but can't be with us at Robinson Preserve on Thanksgiving? You can register for our BRC Virtual Turkey Trot Fun Run/Walk 3-Miler. A virtual fun run is just like traditional one, but you can run, walk, hike, or even use a treadmill. Complete your fun run wherever you want, whenever you want, with whichever friends and family you want, between November 1st and November 26th, 2026. The only requirement: have fun! Participants receive a commemorative bib and a certificate of completion when completing their 3 miles after uploading their results to runsignup. |
Our BRC Thanksgiving events have nominal, age based fees. As in past years, however, we are still asking all participants to recognize the efforts of our local charities,The Food Bank of Manatee and Turning Points, by making donations when they register for this race. Monetary donations may be made online here, and/or in person on race day. All proceeds benefit our sponsored charities and our BRC Scholarship Fund
The Food Bank of Manatee will be on-site on Thanksgiving Day to collect your donations of canned or non-perishable foods, Turning Points will be collecting donations of sneakers, tennis, and running shoes on race day, and OneMoreChild will be collecting diapers, baby wipes, rash creams, and baby oil for their diaper drive.

Q: Do runners get a shirt?
A: This is a charity event and therefore, does not have the usual freebies of a typical race. However, you may purchase our reasonably priced BRC Turkey Trot performance t-shirts online during registration. Bibs and pre-purchased shirts are available for pickup on Tuesday November 24th, or Wednesday the 25th from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Fit2Run The Runners Superstore 4951 Cortez Rd. West, Bradenton FL. Bib and shirt pickups are also available at Check-in beginning at 7:00 A.M. on Thanksgiving morning. Q: I'm not sure if I'm registered, what should I do?
A: If you registered online, you received a confirmation email. Be sure to check your spam file if you cannot find the confirmation email. If you think you may have deleted the email, you can simply log in to your RunSignUp account and you will see the events for which you have registered.
What is the refund policy?
There are no refunds. Proceeds from this event are for the support of our charities: Food Bank of Manatee, Turning Points-Manatee, and the BRC Scholarship fund. In addition, we have a small, but mighty team that is working on all the details to produce this event safely for you and everyone in our community in attendance. We are incurring the expenses for production well before the day of the event, and therefore, we will not be able to provide a refund to you should you want to cancel your registration, or if the event itself has to be cancelled due to the weather, an act of God, or other unforeseen circumstances.

A: Packets are available on Tuesday November 24th, or Wednesday the 25th from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Fit2Run The Runners Superstore 4951 Cortez Rd. West, Bradenton FL. Packets are also available for pickup at Check-in beginning at 7:00 A.M. on Thanksgiving morning.
Q. Are dogs allowed?
A. No, dogs are not allowed at this event. As a member of RRCA we observe all guidelines and recommendations related to safety. Dogs present a risk to other runners and with the narrow trails on our course, present a tripping hazard for participants. Dogs and crowds often don't mix, even with the best behaved dogs due to tripping hazards and unpredictable behavior. In crowded, unfamiliar places, even well-mannered dogs can become unpredictable and protective of their owner. All participants must sign a waiver stating "If I violate the safety guidelines, I accept legal responsibility for any injuries I may directly or indirectly cause to myself and/or others."
Q: Are strollers allowed?
A: Strollers are strongly discouraged at this event. As a member of RRCA we observe all guidelines and recommendations related to safety. Strollers present a risk to other runners, and the course in particular has various types of terrain including uneven terrain, rocks, shells, and narrow trails. Anyone with a stroller would need to understand that they need to line up at the very back of the starting line-up; in addition all participants must sign a waiver stating "I accept responsibility for any injuries I may directly or indirectly cause to myself and/or others."
