Description
The Lansing Summer Stroll for Epilepsy™ promises to be an inspirational morning that allows the spread of epilepsy awareness in the community and the raising of vital funds needed to provide the necessary programs and services offered by the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan. Join us at the Penguin Cove Pavilion in Potter Park on May 21st for a scenic walk down the Lansing River Trail! (Please note that the Stroll does not go into the Potter Park Zoo and zoo admission is not included in the registration fee.)
As the largest fundraiser of the year, this walk provides funding for everything the Foundation offers, from our Here for You Helpline to our Learn and Share Conference Calls to Camp Discovery to our school and workplace seizure recognition and first aid training. In addition, the Summer Stroll is a wonderful way to raise epilepsy awareness in your community! 1 in 26 people will be diagnosed with epilepsy over the course of their lifetime, and it is the goal of the Foundation to be there for everyone affected by epilepsy in the state of Michigan.
