About Us

MedSupplyDrive is a volunteer organization dedicated to alleviating the shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) faced by frontline workers and vulnerable communities. Founded by students at Georgetown Medical School in March 2020, the organization has grown to over 1,000 members spanning 44 states and consists of volunteers from all backgrounds and professions. We are students, teachers, parents, artists, health professionals, athletes, and more, all united under a common goal: get PPE to those in need. MedSupplyDrive has a strong focus on equity and aims to serve communities and populations most impacted by COVID19. We serve safety net hospitals, indigenous reservation health services, skilled nursing facilities, homeless shelters, prisons, and more. We are proud to be collaborating with AUC COVID Volunteers so we can come together while staying apart. The funds raised from this event will go towards the purchase and transport of PPE for essential workers across the nation.

AUC COVID Volunteers is an organization started by medical students at the American University of the Caribbean, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are working to provide meals, emotional support, personal protective equipment and other resources as needed. While we started as a group of medical students from one medical school, we welcome help from any compassionate person who wishes to help. We are grateful to collaborate with MedSupplyDrive, who shares our mission in aiding healthcare workers. The money raised from the first race will be used to purchase meals for our frontline health care heroes.
