Description

Twenty years ago, on September 11, 2001, America was attacked by terrorists. The 9/11 terrorist attacks killed 2,977 people and injured thousands at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. As we honor those we lost, and the heroes that sacrificed their lives to save as many people as possible, we hope to see America come together as it did 20 years ago. Join our 9/11 20th Anniversary 9.11 Mile race and promise to NEVER FORGET what happened that day. The medal is made of beautiful stained glass.

We will be donating 20% of each registration to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an amazing organization that honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. They also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.

What is a virtual race? A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Running and walking on your own, or with friends! And your medal will be shipped directly to you. Complete a virtual 5Ks, 10K, half marathon and more! Each of our races benefits a different charity. We’ve already raised more than $892,045 for charities from running events on this website! We are making a difference…one race at a time.
