KICKS4CHRIS 5K RUN 10/13/19 @ 8:30 AM at Alverthorpe Park
Hi Runners! Kicks4Chris, a non-profit organization that raises money for Penn’s Abramson Cancer Center, is excited to announce this year's Immunity Booster 5K! All proceeds from the event directly benefit sarcoma research initiatives at Penn. Penn's Sarcoma program features expert clinical researchers, physicians and veterinarians working as a team to identify innovative treatments for sarcoma, a rare and deadly form of cancer.
In addition to supporting this great cause, this year’s event is certified by the USA Track and Field Association. Second Wind will be managing the timing of the race and medals will be awarded to the first-place female and male runners overall, and to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place runners in the following age brackets: 30 and under, 31-49, and 50 and up.
For those that aren’t familiar with Kicks4Chris Foundation, it was started in honor of Chris Stern - beloved son, brother, and friend to many - after he lost his battle to cancer in 2015. Visit www.kicks4chris.org to learn more!
