Heroes vs Cancer 5K/Walk/400Meter Kids Run

Dear Fellow Runners

It’s back again! The Second Annual Heroes vs. Cancer 5K will be held at EA on Saturday, June 23rd! As you may recall, last year Matt & I became involved with Coaches vs. Cancer, specifically with the School & Youth Initiative. Last year we had over 70 runners & raised $5,000 for this great organization. We are hoping to get over 100 runners this year and bring in even more money. That’s where we need your help! Please sign up or share about this event with your friends & family.

Included is information on the registration site as well as a page where we are collecting donations. In addition, there are two blurbs that you could share: one is the goal of the event and the other is about the School & Youth Initiative. I have also attached the map of the course & this year’s flyer.

All proceeds will go directly to the Coaches vs. Cancer program of The American Cancer Society. The goal of this event is to celebrate survivors, remember and honor those we have lost, and fight back so that no one loses another family member, friend, or loved one to this disease. Cancer hits close to home for too many people, and on June 23rd we will fight for everyone, in every community, and against every cancer. 

The Philadelphia Coaches vs. Cancer School and Youth Initiative is a program designed to encourage student-athletes, coaches, fans, parents, athletic directors, and local communities to make an impact in the fight against cancer. Any community member or business can be a part of the Coaches vs. Cancer program.
