Description
The 6th Annual See Chicks Run 5K walk/run and 10K race on Sunday, June 4th 8:30 am. See Chicks Run is the ONLY all-female race event in Philadelphia, held each year on the gorgeous Forbidden Drive trail in Fairmount Park. The out and back, flat, gravel course is both runner and walker friendly, situated alongside Wissahickon Creek with shaded views of the water and covered bridges. Participants have the option to run or walk the 5K and run the 10K; age group prizes will be awarded for each race.
All proceeds of See Chicks Run support Philly Girls in Motion, a registered nonprofit that delivers sports and physical fitness programs to underserved girls in Philadelphia. Our after-school and community based programs serve roughly 600 girls each year in the 2nd to 8th grade and include basketball, lacrosse, volleyball, rugby, yoga, rugby, and fitness instruction.
