Irving Marathon teamed up with Baylor Scott & White Irving Health Foundation
and Irving, Grand Prarie, and Coppell ISD to encourage students to get active
and learn healthy exercise routines and habits. Kids are challenged to run the
distance of a marathon throughout the school year. They receive incentives to
reward their accomplishments at miles 5, 10, and 18.
Every $10 dollars donated helps sponsor, roughly 2.5 children, to participate in
irun. Because of all our past participants and donors, 11,000 kids have
from the irun program. Thank you to all Irving Marathon Running Series
participants and donors. You are truly making a difference in their lives by
helping them learn and adopt a healthy lifestyle that they carry into their
adult lives and reverse the course of the obesity epidemic.
