The AuSome 54-Day Challenge is an expansion of our annual 5K & Family Fun Day, giving you even more ways to participate. Choose your distance goal, log your miles, fundraise in support of the ASCV, and join us on June 5 to celebrate!
The AuSome 54-Day Challenge begins on April 12 and ends at 5pm on June 4. Participants choose whether to walk/run/hike or cycle, set a distance goal to achieve during the Challenge, then complete and log their miles between April 12 and June 4. Your goal is your own, whether it's 3.2 miles, 54 miles, or 500 miles! You'll be able to track your progress on your results page and earn badges to mark your milestones. For kids or those interested in participating without a focus on miles and competition, choose the Let's Move event and track your fitness activities without worrying about a goal.
Each participant is also a fundraiser, with money raised supporting the Autism Society Central Virginia and our mission to improve the lives of all impacted by autism in Central Virginia. Create or join a Fundraising Team, sync your fundraising page with your Facebook page, and fundraise to support local individuals with autism and their families.
Register your team today, fundraise together, and join us for this fun and inspiring event as we honor and support our local autism community!
The Autism Society Central Virginia, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is proud to be one of the region’s premier sources of education, advocacy, and support for individuals with autism, their families, and professionals. Autism is a developmental disability that occurs in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups. The prevalence rate of autism continues to rise, and currently the CDC estimates that an average of 1 in 54 children in the US meets the diagnostic criteria for autism. The ASCV serves as the local voice and resource for the Central Virginia autism community. Funds raised from the AuSome 54-Day Challenge will provide much needed support, resources, and programs for local individuals with autism and their families. The funds raised here, stay here!
