Join 180 Adventure for the 16th annual Stubborn Mule: not one, but THREE of the midwest's top adventure races! With 5-hour, 12-hour and 24-hour events, we have something for everyone! First-timers will enjoy our choose-your-own adventure style that gives you the opportunity to try out this amazing sport. More experienced racers tackling our longer events will enjoy challenging navigation sections with lots of route-choices, and some of the best biking and paddling that the midwest has to offer.

Stubborn Fool is a USARA-sanctioned event.

12-Hour and 24-Hour racers must either have an annual USARA membership or purchase a single-event license through RunSignUp. If purchasing a single day membership, be sure to set your membership start date as race day.
