The Schlitz Park 5K Run by the River is the only downtown 5K and 2-mile walk that takes runners along the Milwaukee Riverwalk, through Brewer's Hill and around the historic Schlitz Brewery turned office campus. The 5K race was started by the late Gary Grunau, the previous owner of the Schlitz Park campus whose impact on both development and philanthropy changed the downtown scene as we know it.
The Schlitz Park 5K Run by the River and 2-Mile Walk attracts more than 500 runners that include individuals, teams, corporate partners and Milwaukee community members. Each year the 5K has generated thousands of dollars in funds for the selected beneficiary.
New event activations this year include the Tap Yard Beer Garden, live music and a Riverwalk marketplace.
Race Registration for individual runners, corporate teams, and community members will be open in May! Sponsorship activations are now available! For more information email the 5K Coordinator Sam at SDenny@lpc.com.

Since 2000, our college access and success programs have helped empower more than 80,000* students from under-represented communities on their path to a college degree.
Our pioneering model matches eligible students with near-peer coaches and an intensive curriculum designed to help them navigate and overcome the most common barriers to getting into college and completing their degree — all at no cost to students or their families.
Today, we’re among the largest college access and success organizations in the U.S. We’ve grown from a single regional office in St. Paul, MN to eight regional sites nationwide, and a growing suite of solutions designed to empower students — and those who serve them — at every stage of the college journey.

Schlitz Park is the historic Schlitz Brewery turned downtown office campus that offers the best of urban and suburban features. Combined in a single corporate campus, Schlitz Park is located along the Milwaukee River, connected to miles of bicycle and walking trails and provides three free, onsite fitness centers with guidance and classes offered by our campus Health and Wellness group, Solful Fitness. The fitness studio, Solful Fitness, was brought on as the official corporate wellness provider in July of 2021. Solful Fitness is the 20+ year old health & wellness community built by lead trainer and owner, Lisa Martin. Wanting to cut through the ego of the fitness world, Lisa made it her mission to create a warm, supportive space that centered on her clients. And so the Solful Fitness Family was born. Today Lisa and her team of trainers are dedicated to helping you build an exercise and nutrition routine that allows you to take control of your goals with the support of our incredible fitness community.

You do not need to print it. We will need to scan the QR code on the receipt, though, so please have your email accessible on your mobile device or save a picture of your receipt with the QR code to your device’s image library.

5:00pm Packet pickup opens (north side of parking lot). Look for the red packet pickup flag!
6:15pm 5K run & 2-mile walk start – walkers please stage behind runners.

Overall male & female + age group awards in 5-year increments.
Team Awards
Fastest Team - the four fastest times from your team will be used for this category.
Team Spirit – Wear a team costume, matching company shirts, team cheer, funny hats…let’s have some fun.
Creating teams- Have your team captain register for the event and create a team. All the team members can just choose the team name from the drop-down menu during registration.
5K Mile Run and 2-Mile Walk Course Maps
The start and finish for both the run and walk will be the same location. In Schlitz Park. Look for the large truss in the parking lot.
T-Shirts
Register on-line by August 31st and be guaranteed a custom cotton shirt. After noon August 31st, shirts will be available while on line supplies last. Shirts may be available after the race on a first come first serve basis, but are not guaranteed.
Parking
Free parking is available in the surface parking lot at the Southeast corner of Cherry St. and Dr. Martin Luther King St.
