Arriving at the Piedmont Park
Participants will begin arriving in the Meadow area of Piedmont Park 4:30 pm and after. The area will be congested so we recommend arriving by 6 pm.
If you are part of a team, be sure to know where to meet your team before and after the event.
MARTA (SUBWAY)
Take MARTA to the Midtown/10th Street Station. MARTA is highly recommended. View the MARTA train schedule.
Upon exiting the Midtown Station, take 10th Street towards Peachtree Street and continue on 10th past Piedmont Road. Continue walking down 10th until you reach the Charles Allen Gate of Piedmont Park. Enter in this area and the Meadow will be the large field in front of you. ARRIVING/PARKING
Parking is very limited near Piedmont Park. If you must drive, CARPOOL!
Option 1: Park at 999 Peachtree Street. This secured parking deck is a .63 mile walk to the Meadow of Piedmont Park. It is about .25 miles closer than the Midtown Marta Station. Walk down 10th Street towards the park with lots of other Run,Walk & Roll participants! View the walk to Piedmont Park.
Option 2: Uber/Lyft - RideShare dropoff and pickup is on Charles Allen Drive between 8th and 10th, south of the Park. 10th Street will be very congested; please direct drivers to avoid 10th St. Ride with a friend or co-worker!
Option 3: The parking garage is in the center of the park. VERY LIMITED parking is available in this deck. The Park shares this deck with the Atlanta Botanical Garden and the rate is typically based on the amount of time you spend in the park. Piedmont Park access is on the lowest floor. Address to Parking Garage: 1320 Monroe Drive, Atlanta, GA 30306. The garage is off of Monroe Drive on Worchester Drive, or visitors can enter off Piedmont Avenue at the Atlanta Botanical Garden entrance. The park is accessed from the lowest floor.
Option 4: Bus Parking - Please let us know (info@kprunwalkroll) if you are planning to bring a bus or buses with your participants. Buses should arrive between 4 and 5:30 pm. From Piedmont, drive eastbound on 10th Street towards Charles Allen Drive. Buses will park on 10th Street facing eastbound between Charles Allen Drive and Monroe Drive, facing Monroe Drive. A police officer and/or volunteer will direct you to park. All buses should have a sign in the window with the company name (all buses look alike at night)! All bus drivers should stay on the bus before and during the event. All buses will stay in place on 10th Street during the event and may not be able to leave until 9 pm or after.
WALKING/BIKING into Piedmont Park
Piedmont Park is surrounded by Piedmont Avenue, Monroe Drive and 10th Street. Visitors can enter from multiple entry points such as the 12th or 14th Street gates off Piedmont Avenue, or the Charles Allen Gate off of 10th Street. A popular way to get to the park is the Atlanta Beltline which comes into the North end of the park near the Piedmont Commons, and into the South end at the intersection of 10th Street and Monroe Drive.
