Louisiana Youth & Jr. Tri Team- Info Session + BIKE CLINIC

This summer, Sportspectrum is bringing you the Lousiana Youth and Jr. Triathlon Team! 

The Louisiana Youth & Jr Triathlon Team promotes the development of kids (8-12), youth (3-15), juniors (age 16-19) and U23 triathletes in Louisiana. Young athletes will receive detailed coaching and instruction, and will compete in local and regional races, including the USATriathlon SouthMidwest Youth and Jr. Series.

This is a summer team program. Sessions will run June-mid August.

Team will meet on Monday evenings and selected Saturday mornings.

June 4 - Open Water Swim Clinic
June 18 - SouthSide Splash & Dash
June 26 - TRI Aggieland (Sunday)
July 23 - COSST Splash & Dash  or  WACO Tri
July 31 - USAT Youth & Jr. Nationals (Upon prior approval)
August 6 - Ironfish Triathon

Practice times are tentative on interest and skill level, therefore, it is IMPERITIVE that you sign each of your children up for the info session. 

About the Team

The Louisiana Youth & Jr. Team is Sportspectrum's Summer League Triathlon Team for ages 8 and up. The team introduces youth and juniors to the exciting and growing sport of triathlon in a safe and fun environment. Athletes will learn and practice age-appropriate skills in swimming, biking, running, transitions, and race strategies, and implement these in a series of races that the team will travel to. 

USATriathlon designates HIGH PERFORMANCE TEAMS based on the team's dedication to generating highly competitive athletes and preparing them for draft legal racing. It is our goal to meet these standards and establish a High Performance Team in Louisiana. Long term goals consist of sending qualified athletes to Youth and Jr. Elite National and High School National Championships. 

Fees: Dues are $100/athlete. 

Uniforms: Athletes will have the option of purchasing one of the following: team swimsuit OR Team Tri Suit.

Women's & Junior $45 + Printing

Men's & Juniors $30 + Printing

Tri Suit: 

Jr. Sizing (fits most 8-14 year olds) $100 + Printing

Addult Sizing $140 + Printing
