28th Annual Melody Miles 5k Fundraiser

WHAT: 5k fun run/walk

WHEN: Saturday, May 25th @ 10am

WHERE: Winthrop Elementary School (325 Bay Road, Hamilton MA 01982)

WHO: Anyone and everyone! We welcome all ages and abilities (and encourage strollers for those still getting their race legs). Awards are given to the top three finishers in age groups from 1 to 70+.

• Interested in getting really competitive? We have brought back the option to sign-up with a school or community team when you register. So if you are a Cutler dad, join the Cutler team. If you teach at Miles River, join the MRMS team. An alum of the district? Dealers choice! After the race closes we will announce which school was able to recruit the most participants.

• Are you a member of a local community organization and want to gather a team? Reach out to us and we can add your group so you can show your membership pride on race day!

WHY: To raise funds to support arts education and arts related initiatives in the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District, all while having a great time, listening to great music, with a great community!

We want to reward those registrants who are willing to pound the pavement, get the word out about Melody Miles, and peer pressure everyone they know into registering for a good cause. Make it a fun challenge; perhaps you all run together as a group, or see which of your friends can run a 5k fastest. Maybe you make it a party and all the neighborhood kids run it together. The options abound. But for those who manage to get FIVE friends to register with their referral link, we will refund your registration fee. That is how serious we are about making this a fun community event to raise money for arts education in HW.

To participate in the Friends and Family Referral, follow these simple steps...

1. Register for Melody Miles (both 5K and 5mi count).

2. You’ll receive a unique referral link in your confirmation email.

3. Share the link with your friends, family or post on social media (use our hashtag!).

4. Each time someone signs up through your link, you'll accrue one referral.

5. Earn five referrals and get $30 credited back to you. Easy right?!?!
