THE UNCHARTED 5K SUMMER RACE SERIES PRESENTED BY NAVIGATION BREWING COMPANY IN CHELMSFORD IS HERE!

NAVIGATION BREWING HAS TEAMED UP WITH NEW ENGLAND TIMING, NOW ALSO BASED OUT OF CHELMSFORD, TO BRING YOU THIS UNIQUE WEEKLY SUMMER RACE SERIES!

EACH RACE IN THE WEEKLY 7 RACE SERIES WILL BE OPEN TO A VERY LIMITED NUMBER OF RUNNERS TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE HAS AN ENJOYABLE TIME BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER THE RACE!

TO START, WE WILL BE LIMITING THE NUMBER OF ENTRANTS TO THE FIRST 100 THAT SIGN UP FOR EACH RACE. KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON THE REGISTRATION SPOTS REMAINING FOR EACH RACE! DON'T WAIT AND MISS OUT ON THIS!

NOTE: IF THE 7-PACK RACE BUNDLE SELLS OUT BEFORE THE FIRST RACE ON JULY 30TH, THEN THE ENTIRE SERIES WILL BE SOLD OUT!

THE FORMAT OF THE 5K RACE WILL BE A TIME TRIAL START DUE TO THE START AREA BEING VERY TIGHT. TWO RUNNERS WILL START TOGETHER EVERY 5 SECONDS! RUNNERS WILL SELF-SEED BASED ON THEIR LEVEL OF COMFORT.

THE WINNERS OF EACH RACE AND THOSE THAT PR AFTER THE FIRST RACE WILL BE RECOGNIZED IN THE POST RACE FESTIVITIES.

YOUR TIME AND STANDING FROM EACH RACE IN THE SERIES WILL BE USED TO CALCULATE YOUR OVERALL POINTS TOTAL. A TOP MALE AND FEMALE WILL BE CROWNED THE UNCHARTED CHAMPION AT THE END OF THE SERIES! WE ARE STILL WORKING OUT THE PRIZES, SO STAY TUNED! 

YOU MUST RUN A MINIMUM OF 5 RACES TO QUALIFY FOR THE SERIES TITLE. IF YOU RUN MORE THAN 5 RACES, THEN ONLY YOUR TOP 5 RACES WILL COUNT TOWARDS YOUR FINAL POINTS TOTAL!

All well-mannered dogs (on leash at all times) are welcomed to participate in the race, but they must start in the back behind the runners. The same goes for those running/walking with baby strollers as well. Navigation Brewing is also dog and kid-friendly inside, but all rules must be followed to allow this!

PARKING:
There is plenty of street and public lot parking in the area, but traffic in Central Square can be quite heavy during rush hour, so please plan to arrive early to avoid any pre-race stress!

NUMBER PICKUP:

You can pick up your race BIB on the respective race day starting at 5:15PM inside Navigation Brewing. Feel free to warm up, hang out, and "carbo-load" before the race when Navigation opens at 4PM!

THE COURSE (DOWNLOADABLE MAP HERE):

The start area will be right in front of Navigation Brewing with runners going off every 5 seconds. Your time will start when you cross the start mats.

We will do what we can to ensure that you have a flawless start, but please be alert and aware of your surroundings for car traffic early on.

You will stay on the sidewalk as you bear RIGHT onto ACTON RD/RT 27. 

You will make your first RIGHT onto HIGH ST at .35 miles and continue through the beautiful neighboorhood until a little before MILE 1 where you will bear LEFT onto ROBIN HILL RD.

You will summit the only hill on the course at MILE 1.22 before coming back down and making a sharp RIGHT onto LOCUST ST at MILE 1.40.

Bear LEFT at the end of LOCUST ST at MILE 1.66 before turning RIGHT onto the BRUCE FREEMAN RAIL TRAIL at MILE 1.77.

This is your cue to turn on the jets for the final, flat 1.3 miles straight to the FINISH on the BFRT in front of Brickhouse Pizza!
