April 1, 2020
The 2020 Dash for Dogs is going virtual! Due to the recommendations surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and the government’s mandate around no public gatherings, we’ve made the decision to modify the 7th Annual Dash for Dogs 5k scheduled for April 26. This was not an easy decision, but our priority is the safety of our community, including all our participants, staff, volunteers, and pets.
So what now?
If you are already registered, log in to your registration page and choose one of three options:
Option 1: Participate in the Virtual Dash for Dogs sometime between April 26 – May 3! Run/walk the course on your own or do another course or activity of your choice. While we won't have top finishers recognition, we do have a number of prizes donated from local businesses that will be awarded. We strongly encourage sharing photos and videos of your activity to our Facebook event page – the more creative the better-(https://www.facebook.com/events/366794377370298/) as we will have a prizes for Best Video (people’s choice as voted on by Facebook members), Shelter Favorite Video (as voted on by shelter staff), and Best Dressed Pet (photo or video). Let’s come together to help needy animals and still have some fun!
Option 2: Defer your entry until next year's race.
Option 3: Decline to participate this year but donate your entry fee to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. Thank you!
SHIRTS: We will work on a pick-up system here at the shelter and be in touch to schedule pick up times.
On behalf of all of us at the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, we thank you for your continued support. Donations received through events like this help us to save more lives and positively impact the lives of thousands of animals each year. Your support makes a difference.

For those wanting to run the actual course, it is the same as it has been:
Start at the Humane Society (55 Strawberry Ave)
Go right out of the parking lot
Go left at the stop sign on to Tall Pines Drive
The trailhead is where the road curves right
Follow the trail to the end (Sunnyside Park)
Turn around and come back
