Description
Escape to Belle Isle is a great summer event for training, families, and people of all ages. It is in its 8th year, started by me as a way to get people of Michigan back to the City of Detroit in the summer and provide a flat, fast course and great summer event for all ages. We allow walkers, baby joggers, dogs to accomodate everyone that wants to participate. We have race extras that no one else has-- a DJ with live music, an ice cream truck with fresh fruit bars at the finish,custom medals to all finishers as well as dry fit shirts, and the kids run participants get all of that plus a trophy, to encourage and motivate them to have a healthy lifestyle of running. All proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit Charity. We have ages 2-92 that have participated! We also have people that come from all over the state of Michigan, and many that have since moved, but use it as a reason to come back to Detroit. We have been on the Pure Michigan/Governor's Council endorsed list previously as well. Thank you for your consideration! Jenna Greenman
