Description
This race is part of Essexville's Sesquicentennial Celebration. 150 years ago, Ransom Essex founded our city and we are spending the entire day celebrating! Immediately following an 8:45 a.m. brief dedication ceremony, a 1/4 and 1/2 mile Kids Run will take off from the new Ransom Essex Park (the field next to the old Hughes Elementary School). Once this race finishes, we will begin the 5K Run and Walk. The course is flat and fast through the streets of Essexville. Each participant (including Kids Run participants who register) will receive a commemorative t-shirt, special-edition 'woodallion,' and refreshments in the fire station after the race. Join us as we celebrate our city's founding!
