The Class of 2021. Help us support and stand with the Class of 2021 by registering for the Class of 2021 5k Run/Walk. We would have preferred to have held it live with other people as we all know WE MISS RUNNING WITH PEOPLE! Stay healthy and most importantly stay safe anywhere you choose to run. Or walk. Or however you choose to complete this race. Presented by Feldman Chevrolet of Lansing, we hope you choose to stand with the Class of 2021!
The race takes place wherever you would like to run or walk, in the comfort of your own home on a treadmill or outside on your favorite pathway. Please follow your local COVID-19 guidelines. How a Virtual Race works: Run or walk 3.1 miles (5k) anytime between November 20th – January 11th. Tell your friends and family and run together, socially distancing of course. The medal is a custom medal as it comes with a "dangling" reminder that shows our family and "Friends", in this case, the many students who will be graduating, that we stand with the Class of 2021!
Cafecito Caliente has been hosting events since 2010 and for each Cafecito event, we choose an Organization to help support. For this event, we chose the Latino Advisory Committee (LAC), which will be celebrating 50 years in 2022! Hit the "Donate" button and 100% of all donations will go to the LAC! Cafecito will also be donating 100% of the profits to the LAC. The LAC annually gives out scholarships and in May of 2020 gave out 3-$1,000 scholarships to Latino students graduating from High School. Every dollar counts so register, donate or maybe both!
The Latino Advisory Committee was created in April of 1972 to recognize, educate and empower parents to take a proactive role in the educational and personal development of their children and is the Lansing area's oldest Latino organization. We work in partnership with the Lansing School District to advocate for Latino families and their students throughout the calendar year. With this being one of the most difficult Senior Years experienced in recent memory, Feldman Chevrolet of Lansing and Cafecito Caliente hope you will stand with the Class of 2021!
