The 9th Annual Run for Reading, a 5K Run/Walk & 1/4 Mile Kids FunRun will be held on Saturday April 5, 2014. The course is USATF Certified and proceeds will benefit the Delta Township District Library.
Overall Female and Male runner and walker winners will have a brick engraved with their name to be placed at the Library. Prizes for first three Female and Male runners and walkers in each age group. Shirts & ribbons for all kids that finish the FunRun.
Female & Male: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39,
40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
Friday, April 4, 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. at the Library. Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup from 7:30 a.m.—8:45 a.m. Registration for Kids FunRun is not required.
Donations of new or gently used athletic shoes will be accepted on behalf of Heart and Sole, a charitable project of the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM). Since 1999, MSUCOM has shipped more than 15,000 pairs of shoes to the poorest of the world’s people.
