Hike for Habitat - a Spring Hike Series curated by Jennifer Pharr Davis

Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity and Blue Ridge Hiking Company announce JPD’s Spring Hike Series, to support Asheville Habitat’s Women Build. 

Join our hike series for $25, and you’ll get 4 hand-picked hikes from Jennifer Pharr Davis throughout Spring of 2021. Help yourself - and your neighbors in need of decent housing - by lacing up your shoes, loading up your day pack, and grabbing a few family members or friends (furry or human) for some fresh-air fun and exploration this spring! These hikes are designed to be family friendly.

JPD is an internationally recognized hiker, author, speaker, National Geographic Adventurer of the Year and new appointee to the President’s Council of Sports, Fitness and Nutrition. She developed this hiking series to bring everyone to the trail in order to support Asheville Habitat’s Women Build program!

You’ll receive the first email with hike #1 details on or before March 18 - and these hikes are meant to be completed on your own. The hikes will focus on each quadrant of Buncombe County – East, West, North and South. No matter where you live, at least one will be close to home. Over the next few months, we will randomly choose winners for prizes and goodies, and everyone who completes the 4 hike challenge will receive swag as well! 

This series support our Women Build house - which like all Habitat homes are built by a loving community of donors, staff, and volunteers in partnership with hard-working homebuyers. Underneath the 2x4s, nails, and shingles lies the passionate, unwavering conviction that everyone deserves a decent place to live, and that everyone can do something about it.

The first 50 people to register will also receive a Nalgene bottle! Please note that your registration covers the costs of this event, you can make a donation to our work but it is not required to participate. We can't wait to get on the trail with you!
