The Scream! Half Marathon

The Scream! is a USATF certified point-to-point half marathon run mainly on the upper half of the Ridge to Bridge Marathon course in the mountains and foothills of western North Carolina. The course is comprised of a 2.5 mile section of paved road at the top, with the remainder following the US Forest Service road through the Pisgah Forest. The elevation profile is best described by the name of the event: 2,300 feet of screaming descent from Jonas Ridge down to the sleepy ghost town of Mortimer.
